With a dark-chrome-colored Zinc alloy outer frame and a rather unusual way to fit a screen, this ultra-light new entry packs in a crazy bunch of hardware for the price. The HiBy R2 takes its seat at the foot of the table logically slotting below the R3 and it does look similar to the R3 design in many ways. The R2 is HiBy’s new entry-level digital media player and was released at the same time as their new Beans IEM and FD1 USB DAC, both of which we will also be reviewing shortly.
